How To Place An Order
We encourage you to place your order online for the fastest possible service. We have designed the 1-800-Balloons website to be quick and simple to use. However, please feel free to call in your order if you prefer. Our telephone number, like our name, is 1-800-Balloons (1-800-225-5666).
SHOP: Browse our website for the gift(s) you want to send. In addition to balloons, we also offer small gifts which we can mix and match to meet your needs. Simply click on the drop-down menus on the right side of the screen and add balloons or a small gift, etc. to make your gift even more special. If you would like to further customize your order, please feel free to call in your request and one of our customer care professionals will be happy to assist you. Please call 1-800-Balloons (1-800-225-5666).
SELECT: Once you have found what you want to send, click the "Add to Basket" button. Your selection will be stored in your personal shopping basket. You may continue to shop for additional items and add them to your basket by clicking on the "back" arrow in your browser bar or you may proceed to check out if you are finished.
CHECKOUT: When you are finished shopping, and ready to checkout, click on the "Continue to Checkout" button at the bottom of the Shopping Basket page.
Because your online shopping security is of utmost importance to us, we require passwords to protect your personal information. If you are a registered returning customer, enter your email address and your 1-800-Balloons password where requested then click the "Login" button at the bottom of the page. If you are a new customer, please take the time to register with us to simplify future visits and orders. You will now be directed step by step on placing your order to make it as fast and easy as possible. You will be asked to enter a delivery date, recipient information, your billing information, shipping method, and other gift information. If you are a returning customer, some of this information will be filled in automatically. Don't worry, 1-800 Balloons uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption for card processing for secure online commerce transactions. Further, we do not resell or pass on your information to third parties so you won't receive annoying solicitations. When finished, click on the "Submit" button.
You will now be on the Order Review page. This page summarizes the information you have entered; please review the details carefully. If something needs to be changed, just click the appropriate button along the toolbar at the top of the page (for example to change something about the recipient, simply click "Recipient Information") and make the changes you want on that page. Then click "Submit" at the bottom of the page. Note: For your security, if any changes are made in the order you will have to enter your credit card information again.
When the order looks correct on the Order Review page, simply click the "Submit" button and the order will be processed.
Orders placed online are processed by our national service center. To provide you peace of mind that everything is in order and being processed, we will send you an immediate order confirmation via your email address. Please save this email for future reference as it will include all the details of your order, including an order number, in the event you need to contact us. Note that in some cases email services are slow or spam blockers will prevent delivery of our receipt notification. If you do not receive an email confirmation within two hours of placing the order, you can always go to our online tracking system.

Order Changes And Cancellations
If you find that you need to change or cancel an order, please call us at 1-800-Balloons (1-800-225-5666) as quickly as possible and we can assist you. Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel or change orders that have already been delivered or are in route.
A service charge of $13.99 USD will be applied to all orders delivered in the US and Canada. *
*In some metropolitan areas or rural areas, an additional delivery fee of $10 to $25 will be applied to cover the higher cost to deliver your products.
1-800-Balloons accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay and PayPal. We do not accept cash, ATM cards, checks or CODs.

We can deliver select products internationally. Because of differing regulations and requirements in various countries, you will need to call us at 1-800-Balloons (1-800-225-5666) for any orders being delivered outside the United States and Canada. We will be more than happy to assist you.
IF NO ONE IS AVAILABLE AT TIME OF DELIVERY TO ACCEPT THE ORDER
If no one is available to accept the balloon bouquet delivery when we arrive, we will attempt to reach the recipient by the phone number the customer has provided. It is important to provide a number that the recipient can be reached on. If no contact is made, the order may be left at the residence in a safe, secure place or our affiliate handling the order will tag the door and return with the balloon bouquet gift and wait to hear back from the recipient. In this instance an additional delivery charge may apply to complete the delivery. If we are notified of the balloon bouquet being undelivered then we will contact the customer to make them aware of the situation. Undeliverable orders will not be refunded.
We do not encourage, offer or provide balloons for release and advise our customers not to perform a balloon release for any occasion. Releasing balloons into the atmosphere are prohibited in several Cities, Towns and States and may cause harmful litter into the environment. Mylar balloons should never be released as they can cause power outages as well as other hazards.
Same Day Delivery
Orders for same day delivery must be placed by 12 Noon in the recipients time zone. Orders received after 12 Noon in the recipient’s time zone will be scheduled for delivery the next business day. If you would like, you can call our customer service lines at 1-800-225-5666 to see if delivery is available after 12 Noon for same day delivery.
Orders are typically scheduled between 9 AM to 6 PM. Our balloons should be accepted by someone at the residence and the customer is responsible for making sure someone will be available to accept delivery. We are unable to provide surprise delivery service. We need a good phone number for the recipient or someone at the residence in case our delivery driver needs to get ahold of them for any reason.
The customer is responsible for making sure the residential building is accessible for our delivery driver to enter and that the recipient is available to accept the balloon bouquet delivery. By providing the recipient's phone number where we can reach them, we can make contact if needed. If there is a gate code please provide that as well. We are often unable to deliver directly to individual apartments or units so the balloon bouquet may have to be left in the office and will have to be picked up during office hours. It is the responsibility of the party accepting the balloon bouquet to complete delivery to the recipient.
Residential Buildings with Doorman Service
The customer is responsible for making sure the residential doorman will be available and able to accept delivery of your balloon bouquet gift. Our local dispatcher may call the recipient to confirm that the doorman is willing to accept and store a balloon bouquet. This is why it is important to provide the recipient's phone number and not the customers. Once we have completed delivery to the area required by authorized personnel it is the responsibility of the party accepting the balloon bouquet to complete delivery to the recipient.
Secure Facility Deliveries
Deliveries to a Secure Facility are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM. Some Corporate, Military, and Research facilities have restricted access. Please provide a work or cell number for the recipient, which will allow our affiliate to contact them and advise that a delivery is waiting for pick-up. If we are not able to make contact by phone with the recipient, we will leave the balloon bouquet with the authorized personnel. Please understand that once the delivery has been made to the required location in one of these restricted facilities, the person accepting the order is responsible for delivery to the recipient.
Elementary, Middle and High School Deliveries to Students or Staff
Deliveries to schools are scheduled between 9 AM to 2 PM or before school is dismissed.
School deliveries are welcome if the school allows balloon bouquets to be delivered.
Before placing your order, please contact the school and make sure that the order will be accepted by the front office and confirm the school will allow both latex and mylar balloon bouquets as many have restrictions due to latex allergies. Schools normally require that the balloons be held at the front office until dismissal. The front office staff will need to accept responsibility for advising the student that the balloon bouquet delivery is waiting for them at the front office. Delivering to students or staff in class is not permitted.
College Deliveries to Students or Staff On Campus
Deliveries to colleges are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM. On-campus balloon bouquet deliveries are welcome on most campuses.The policy is that the balloon delivery is usually made to a central mail room for students and staff. Deliveries going to dormitories, halls or campus housing can be made if they are open to the public and a receptionist can accept the order on the student's behalf. Please contact the student, staff or school to learn which location is best for your delivery. Provide us with all delivery details, dorm name, hall/building name or number, including a cell number for the recipient in case we are unable to complete the delivery. The customer is responsible for contacting the mail room, dormitory, hall or campus housing and ensuring they contact the student to receive the balloon bouquet gift. 1-800-Balloons does not accept liability if the student or staff does not pick up the order from the location we were authorized to leave delivery. Delivering to students or staff in classrooms is not permitted.
Deliveries to hotels are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM. All hotel deliveries for guests are left with the Concierge, Front Desk, Bell Desk, or even the Loading Dock, depending on the hotel's policy. For security reasons we are not able to deliver the bouquet directly to the guest’s hotel room. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure the hotel makes the delivery to the recipient. When the balloon bouquet has been delivered to the hotel, we consider the delivery successfully completed. We accept no responsibility for balloon bouquets being misplaced or damaged as several hotel staff members might be involved in transferring the balloons from one part of the hotel to another.
Hand Delivery Fee: A $10.00 to $25.00 delivery fee will be added to each order depending upon location. For rural routes or largely populated cities, this additional delivery fee may be required.
Shipped Gift Deliveries: All gifts that require shipping are delivered by the United States Postal Service. Customers may select their desired date for delivery; however, we are unable to provide same day or exact day delivery as requested on your order. All gift shipping items arrive within 4 to 7 business days after they have been prepared for shipping by our company. If you are ordering in advance, we will ship your gift approximately 3 to 6 days prior to your requested date. We do not guarantee exact day delivery as we use USPS and are dependent upon their delivery schedules.
Delivery To Hospitals
Deliveries to hospitals are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM. Balloon bouquet gifts to hospitals are delivered tothe reception desk, security station or the balloon/flower room. Each hospital has their own policy as to where they allow delivery to be left. The balloons are delivered to the patient by the hospital staff. For security reasons we cannot deliver to patient rooms or nurses stations. The hospital staff may need to delay the delivery to the patient for any number of reasons. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide the correct name the patient was admitted under, many times this is their legal name, and to confirm the patient is still admitted and able to receive a balloon bouquet delivery. If the hospital refuses the delivery upon arrival then we cannot issue a refund as the order is considered delivered. If the balloon bouquet delivery can be made to an alternate address, which is within our service area, an additional delivery charge may apply. Occasionally the balloon bouquet cannot be delivered and must be canceled for unforeseen reasons, if so, there may be a cost of goods and attempted delivery charge applied.
Hospitals do not allow latex balloons due to possible latex allergy issues.
Recipient Not Home
If the recipient is not home when our local representative attempts delivery they will do one of the following:
- Call the recipient to schedule another delivery time
- Leave a note on the door asking the recipient to call to schedule another delivery time
- Leave the gift (not balloons) in a secure area such as the entrance, porch, garage or carport
- Leave the gift with a neighbor and place a message on the recipient’s door indicating where the gift is located

While we work closely with our affiliate network to ensure that what you order is what is delivered, occasionally we may need to substitute product due to local availability issues. If this is the case, our trained local affiliate will ensure that the general look and feel of your gifts are retained and the substitute products will be of equal or higher value.
Additionally, depending on when the order is placed (must be before 12:00 PM in the recipient’s time zone) or the availability of the recipient to receive the gift, we may not be able to meet the timing of an event-specific date. Rest assured that we will do everything possible to deliver on the date you request, but we cannot guarantee it and some orders may have to be delivered at a later date.

What Information 1-800-Balloons Collects
We collect two types of information during your visits to our Site:
