Can I specify a time for delivery?
Deliveries are typically made between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to business locations and between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM to residential locations. Regretfully, we are unable to guarantee time of delivery, as this depends on our affiliates' delivery schedule in the service area. If you have a special situation, please call us at 1-800-Balloons (1-800-225-5666) or if the lines are busy, email us at customerservice@800Balloons.com with your confirmation number and phone number. We will do our best to accommodate you. In some cases, additional fees will be applied for time sensitive orders.
Can I call to ask when the delivery will be made?
All orders will be delivered according to the times as mentioned in the above paragraph. We have no additional information on the actual time your order will be delivered. Please wait until a confirmation of delivery is emailed to you. Check your email spam folder if you don't see the confirmation in your inbox.
What qualifies for the same day delivery?
Each order that is entered into the system before 12 noon in the recipient's time zone Monday through Friday is available for same day service. Saturday deliveries are not always available for same day delivery. Please call our Customer Service lines 1-800-225-5666 to confirm that same day delivery is available. Please be aware that our affiliates prepare their deliveries in the morning for afternoon delivery and if your order arrives after their delivery drivers have departed, your delivery may deliver the following day.
How will I know if my order will be delivered on the day requested.
If we encounter a problem for the service area you are requesting, a customer service representative will call you at the phone number you provided and/or email you to keep you updated on the situation. For example, if the recipient isn't available when we attempt to deliver or we cannot reach them on that day, we will attempt to redeliver the next day. Orders received after 12 Noon in the recipients time zone may be delivered the following day. We cannot guarantee that we will deliver on an event-specific date, but every effort will be made to meet your request.
What about Singing Balloon & Giant Air Balloon deliveries?
All Singing Balloon and Giant Air Balloon gifts that require shipping are delivered by the United States Postal Service. Customers who select 'their desired date for delivery' need to allow time for processing the order and 4 to 7 days for shipping. We are unable to provide same day or exact day delivery for these items. When ordering in advance, please allow enough time prior to your requested delivery date.
What about Sunday deliveries?
We make every effort to deliver on Sunday. However, many shops are closed on Sunday, so it is important to determine if your order can be delivered the day before or the day after. An email will be sent advising you of a delivery date change and you will need to specify that it is permissible to ship on an alternate day.
What about Holiday deliveries?
To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least week or so prior to the following major holidays: Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. We DO NOT make deliveries on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day
Do you deliver to rural or less populated areas?
Yes, we make every effort to deliver to rural areas, however some areas are so rural that we just cannot make a delivery as there are no shops within delivery distance. We strongly recommend that you send us an email at customerservice@800Balloons.com to see if we deliver to that area before placing your order so that you can make other arrangements if necessary.
Do you deliver to Canada?
Yes we make every effort to delivery to many areas of Canada, however there are some places not within our affiliates delivery range so those are unable to be made.
Do you deliver to a gated community, secure building or military base?
This depends on the facility. If a person can get into a gated facility or secure building, of course they can deliver. Some facilities will allow delivery to a gate guard or main office, so check to see if this is permissible and let us know if that's an option. Please note that orders will be delivered to the gate or building attendant and the signature of the person receiving the order will be accepted as proof of delivery.
Can I send balloons to a hotel?
We'll happily accept orders requiring delivery to a hotel, however, when placing your order please ensure you have included the full address of the hotel, telephone number, the recipient's room number (if known), as well as the name of the registered guest. Also confirm that the recipient will be at the hotel ALL day. Hotel deliveries are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM and delivered to the Front Desk, Bell Desk or Concierge. Customers are responsible for making sure hotels make the delivery to the recipient. The signature of the person receiving the order will be accepted as proof of delivery.
Can I send balloons to a work / business address?
Yes, for deliveries to a work or business addresses, please ensure you include the company name, full address, floor number or room of the recipient. Business deliveries are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM. The balloon delivery will be left at the business reception if the recipient is not available.
Can I send balloons to hospitals?
Yes, but be sure to include the name of the hospital, the patient's legal name, department name and room number. Hospitals do not accept delivery of latex balloons. Also many ICU departments do not accept balloons of any type. Check with your hospital regarding their restrictions. Hospital deliveries are scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM and delivered to the reception desk or the balloon/flower room. We are unable to deliver to patient rooms or different departments. The signature of the person receiving the order will be accepted as proof of delivery.
Can I send balloons to my child at school?
You can if the school will accept delivery. Confirm with the school regarding their requirements. School deliveries are scheduled between 9 AM to 2 PM and delivered to the main office as we are unable to go to classrooms. The signature of the person receiving the order will be accepted as proof of delivery.
What happens if the recipient is not at home when the delivery is made?
If no one is at home when we attempt delivery, your gift will either be left with a neighbor or if you have stated in your delivery instructions a safe place at the recipient's address . Alternatively, your gift may be returned to the shop. The shop will leave a calling card for the recipient to advise them of the action taken, the whereabouts of the gift or the shops contact name and telephone number. When contacted by the recipient, our member shop will arrange re-delivery at a mutually agreed time. It is important that the phone numbers for the customer and recipient be correct as the delivery issue can be resolved immediately with this information. Should an order be delivered and the recipient is out of town, or the address is incorrect and the new address out of the immediate delivery area, there will be a spoilage fee assessed.
When completing an order, what should I be aware of?
When completing an order, what should I be aware of? The following items are issues that create the most problems. The most important would be to give us a phone number for immediate contact for you. Being able to contact the customer immediately regarding a delivery or a substitution, can prevent a hold up in the order. Also there should be a good number for the recipient. Sometimes a shop will call the recipient and they do not answer. All we can do is leave a message if we get through to their voice mail. Surprisingly we get incorrect delivery addresses and the correct address is not within the affiliates delivery area, so the order cannot be delivered. Please double check the address. Also, when placing an order, be sure the person will be at the hotel, business, or hospital address for the entire day since guarantee of delivery time cannot be made.
What are your business hours?
Customer Service is open from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time), Monday through Friday and from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday. We are closed on Sundays. Our shop is always closed on national holidays.
How do I contact you?
You can contact us by phone but due to being an internet business, processing orders can keep us extremely busy. If you get a busy signal, you can leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can or you could get faster service if you send an email to customerservice@800Balloons.com . Include your name, phone number, and Confirmation/order number with your request.
How are orders placed?
Orders are processed through a National Service Center and then are placed with individual affiliates throughout the country who fill and deliver the order.
What if I make a mistake on my order?
Let us know as soon as possible by calling 1-800-225-5666 and send an email to customerservice@800Balloons.com so that we may make the correction before it goes to the affiliate filling the order. Include the confirmation number and how the order should be corrected. We'll update the order and send you a reply when it is done.
What are the balloon Float Times and size of the bears?
Latex balloons will usually last between 6-12 hours. Mylar balloons will usually last between 3-7 days. However, during hot weather and high altitudes can affect the balloons. The size of the bears, depending upon the affiliate, are approximately: Small 10-11", Medium 12-15", and Large 16-19". They usually come in brown or tan, however, if a shop does not have these colors, they can substitute a black or white bear.
What should I know about the character balloons?
This bouquet is a Character bouquet and comes with a fantasy character foil style Mylar balloon (which may not be what is shown). Can I send my order anonymously?
Yes - you can send an anonymous gift. Your recipient will not receive any information except what is written in the greeting card order form. If the card greeting does not include a name, the recipient may not know who sent the balloons. If your recipient asks for information about who sent the gift, we do not give information without your permission.
What is your substitution policy?
On our website are examples of our bouquets. Occasionally we may need to substitute product due to local inventory and availability issues. If this is the case, our trained local affiliate will ensure that the general look and feel of your gift is retained and the substitute products will be of equal or higher value.
What if I consider my balloon bouquet unacceptable?
We all understand mistakes happen, and our service reps will work with you in a courteous and respectful manner, which we hope is returned. In the event this happens, we ask you to take a picture and send it to us in an email to customerservice@800Balloons.com . We will contact the affiliate and come to a resolution. We are always sorry to hear that an affiliate did not measure up to our standards. If a refund is in order, we will issue you one, showing up in your account 3-5 business days.
